What a fabulous cafe in the center of Latacunga! Doña Teresa, Pablo and Veronica are the cutest team ever. I was traveling alone, and they made me feel so at home. They took their evening coffee with me and kept me company through my whole meal! They were very gracious with my limited spanish and I had so much fun with them. I had the Super d'Tere (tamal, empanada, and bonitisimas): all homemade and delicious. Plus a warming tea infused with fresh fruit, and a piece of their fabulous carrot cake for dessert. Truly a special place in Latacunga. Thanks again for such a lovely evening!

Best cafe we found in latacunga. The atmosphere was really nice, a location to relax. The owner is such a nice person, really welcoming and she explained a lot about ecuadorian traditions. We came here twice, because the conversations were so heart warming and the food was home made and really good. She serves rather small portions to share and to get a taste of different ecuadorian dishes.

The owner of the restaurant, Senorita Teresa is a super friendly host. Besides that she is lovely she can also cook very good. The food and the fresh juice was amazing.

A shining gem in the middle of Latacunga, the owner is the friendliest and smiliest lady who spent about 2 hours on a quiet morning explaining the cuisine of Ecuador. The food is delicious and the textures are something you will never find on the streets, recipes passed down through the family and each with a story. Come for the food, stay for the warm welcome and chats

I was so lucky to stumble on this place on a Sunday evening when most restaurants were closed. Doña Tere was so kind and patient with my poor Spanish, taking the time to explain the menu to me and adapting it to be vegetarian. Because I was traveling alone, she even took photos of me so I can remember the experience. Everything was fresh and delicious. I wanted to return for breakfast, but I was only in Latacunga for a short time and didn't have the opportunity. I highly recommend trying out this gem when you are in Latacunga!

This was our favourite restaurant in Latacunga! We had the Spanish jamon serrano and cheese sandwiches, chicken tamales, the house warm wine (similar to mulled wine) and hot chocolate con queso. The service from the lady who runs it and her male waiter is outstanding- they even made some samples of local sweet delicacies for us to try. The prices are very affordable and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. A must visit when in Latacunga!

We had the hot chocolate with cheese and super d'tere. The hot choc was so tasty, definitely recommend.
